Thus if /etc/default/snmpd contains the line
The capital S is crucial to the syntax.
SNMPDOPTS='-LS 5 d -Lf /dev/null -p /var/run/snmpd.pid'
or even better, just add
dontLogTCPWrappersConnects true
into /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf
